Self-raising flour 250g
Baking powder 2 tsp
Caster sugar 30g (For cheese scones, replace the sugar with 125g grated mature Cheddar cheese and 1/2 tsp mustard powder)
1. Flour + baking powder + butter, rub with fingertips until mixed. Stir in sugar (or cheese + mustard powder).
2. Egg + milk, bit to mix. Add to flour mixture to form a soft dough.
3. Roll out the dough to about 1 cm thick, cut into the desired shape. Place on baking sheet. (Sprinkle grated cheese on cheese scones.)
4. Bake in a preheated oven at 220℃ for about 10 minutes.
